[SOHH highlights a hot record on Tuesdays and offers a unique look at the track in Singled Out. After producer Party Supplies broke down Action Bronson's "In The City," the New York hitmaker reveals how "9.24.13" came together.]

One of my favorite tracks that stands out on Action Bronson's Blue Chips 2 mixtape is "9.24.13"

We didn't want to make a "9.24" sequel [from 2012's Blue Chips]. We didn't want it to be like what people would think and expect us to do all of the same sh*t. But when we had started the sequel, that record just happened.

We both knew it was "9.24.13" We didn't even have a choice to say this was "not" the sequel to that record because when you hear it, you just know that it was.

It's a similar sample, it has a similar type of vibe and when he rhymed on it, he just kept it going. It was like a silhouette rhyme. Action just kept the realness going. It just made the record be the sequel.

That record happened real fast and all of the records really stand out to me but this one and "In The City" are really big.
