Underrated: "You Don't Have To Shoot No Guns To Be Real"

[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name who they feel is the most underrated emcee in hip-hop. After Derek Minor gave Royce Da 5'9 the title last week, Hot Boys' Turk crowns himself SOHH Underrated.]
Who's the most underrated? Me. Myself. I influence myself. I know what I come from. I started doing drugs at 14 and I was able to get off cocaine habits.
The same habits you saw Ray Charles have in the [2004 Ray biopic film], I was doing but I was ten times worse. I'm like the modern day Ray Charles from when I was doing it and I was able to overcome that. I feel like I'm underrated and I'm about to show the world that it's my time. It's my time.
I don't regret anything that I've gone through because they all made me the man that I am today and a lot of people can learn from the same paths.
You don't have to go to no jail, you don't have to shoot no guns to be real, you don't have to catch cases and all that kind of bullsh*t. Just be true to yourself and be real. That's who I am today. I stand in my own lane. I stand alone.
When you stand in your own lane and you're alone, then you've got to be underrated. So we got to get this sh*t back to where we need it to be.
