Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller recently dished out his anticipation for hitting the road with Lil Wayne and having an opportunity to share the same stage with him on a European tour.
Asked about gearing up for teaming with Weezy F. Baby, Miller admitted he had no idea what to expect.
"Yeah, man. I'm excited. Europe shows are always great and the opportunity to go out with Wayne and do arenas is crazy. I'm curious to see what it's going to be like. I'm excited. I haven't done a tour with him ever so I'm excited to see how it goes. [I only met Wayne at the VMA's.] That was the only time we've met. We did a record together for one of his mixtapes last year, which was awesome. I wasn't in the studio with him. We just did it on my bus, which was great. I'm just curious to see what the whole experience is like." (ELLE)
Over the summer, footage of the rapper performing new music and eventually falling to a stage had the Internet buzzing.
Mac Miller performed at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix as the second stop on his Space Migration tour over the weekend. While he was performing the title track to his latest album 'Watching Movies', Mac started to feel unwell (at the 1:28 mark) but he gathered himself and continued to perform the song. But around 30 seconds later, he fully collapsed to the ground after which his team quickly had the lights of the venue dim down. The reason is unknown but it didn't take him long to get back up and finish his set. Hope he's doing alright. (HHNM)
A few days prior, Mac hinted at needing to get some rest.
"In Vegas. Need sleep.," Mac tweeted August 8. (Mac Miller's Twitter)
Despite how it all appeared, a Miller representative eventually came forward and said the "collapse" was part of his performance.
A Mac Miller representative has responded to claims that the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rapper collapsed during the Phoenix, Arizona stop of his "Space Migration Tour" Friday (August 9). "He didn't collapse," Miller's rep said in an exclusive statement to HipHopDX Monday (August 12). "He just ducked down on stage as part of the set." (HHDX)
