[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name who they feel is the most underrated emcee in hip-hop. After Turk gave himself the title earlier this week, comedian Jordan Rock crowns Curren$y SOHH Underrated.]
Who is the most underrated? Curren$y.
His music is just so chill, man. It's like he's telling you about his day, almost. It's like, kicked back and relaxed. He makes situations just sound so simple and like they're the coolest things.
I want to just rap to you but there's so many Curren$y rhymes in my head. He's consistent, he's never done a song where you're like, 'What the f*ck is he doing?'"
He'll say lines like, "I'm rich but I'm still using my Sony Playstation as a DVD player." That's so dope. I've been a Curren$y fan since Independence Day came out in January 2008. I've been repping the Jet Life for a while. I'm talking about back when he was Fly Society and it was FS Jets. When he "was" Fly Society.
I've been a Curren$y fan since day one.
