New York rapper A$AP Rocky is staying out of sight and he might want to keep things that way if he hopes to avoid landing some serious charges over reportedly assaulting a female last month in Philadelphia.
According to reports, Rocky has managed to avoid charges in light of not being located.
A$AP Rocky is dodging charges for bitch slapping a female fan, and it's because nobody can nail down the dude's whereabouts to serve him ... TMZ has learned. We broke the story ... Lisa Wade claims the rapper smacked her in the face -- for no apparent reason -- as he made his way through the crowd at a Philly concert last month. But since police didn't see it happen and it's a misdemeanor offense ... Wade had to file a PRIVATE criminal complaint with the D.A. -- which means the alleged victim has to give the D.A. contact info for the alleged assailant. (TMZ)
Despite the temporary relief, Rocky is not quite out of the dog house just yet.
Problem is ... the paperwork was sent to A$AP's record company -- as Wade requested -- via certified mail, but he wasn't there to sign for it. Bottom line ... the docs were returned to sender. Now the D.A.'s Office can't move forward ... until Wade provides a viable address where A$AP can get served with assault and harassment charges. (TMZ)
During the Philadelphia music fest, A$AP unleashed an energetic live set when he finally hit the stage.
Hardly Rocky: Or A$AP. As Spin's Christopher Weingarten pointed out on via Twitter, it should've been perfect for A$AP Rocky to play the Rocky Stage -- the main stage of the festival, dubbed so because of its proximity to the steps leading up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art that Rocky Balboa famously scaled. But the rapper showed up for his set 23 minutes late, which hardly jibed with that whole as-soon-as-possible thing that his name implies. A$AP Rocky may have shown up with half a set, but the crowd of rapt teenagers roared at the conclusion of each of the four or five songs he played, proving that you can take the round with the right hit. Coincidentally, the New York rapper was recently spotted modeling in New York City.
A$AP Rocky strikes a pose for high fashion. The 'Fashion Killa' is putting his good looks to good use in a new campaign for DKNY. The company's official Instagram, DKNY PR Girl, shared several photos of Rocky on the streets of New York modeling today. The shoot, which took place in busy Times Square, features the dapper rapper in a blue suit jacket and shorts, fitted with a shiny grill. Rocky was joined by models Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne.
