Written by SOHH for Gliffics

[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 rappers of all-time. To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. After Tiffany Foxx whipped out her top picks, Brooklyn rapper Gliffics names his fave five.]

p-wu-tang-clan.jpgWu-Tang Clan. There's a lot of people in there. I'm not a fan of all of them but Ghostface, RZA, GZA, Method Man and Raekwon were my favorite and ODB too. But with ODB, I'm not really a fan of his lyrics like that, he was just a character and you kind of loved him. Those guys dropped classics that I listen to today.

dmx.jpgDMX. He dropped some classic music. I'm mentioning people I still listen to. He made some really good stuff. I remember one time my man was going to fight somebody and he put DMX on before the fight. He put DMX on to go see him in the yard. You can't do that with every artist.

mobb-deep.jpgMobb Deep. They were really influential. What's really dope about that is I was in the studio with Havoc a couple of times and he heard the project I'm getting ready to put out now and said he was a fan of it. He saw a music video I'm going to be dropping and said it's one of the best music videos he's seen in his career. That came from Havoc.

p-atcq.jpgA Tribe Called Quest. The first hip-hop album that I got was the Low End Theory. My mom got it for me for my birthday and it was like introducing me to hip-hop. That was like the first project introducing me to hip-hop. From there, I started following their career and music. It's just timeless.

p-kanye-west.jpgKanye West. Kanye is an innovative rapper who makes great music and keeps on evolving one album after the other with each album raising the bar further then the last.
