Brooklyn rapper Papoose is not issuing any apology to Kendrick Lamar in the near future and has stood behind dropping his "Control" remix diss record despite ample backlash.
During a Hot 97 radio interview, Pap told host Peter Rosenberg why he could not take back his words.
"Nobody is going to disrespect New York City like that, man, and kick dirt on New York City and say you the 'King of New York' when you not even from New York," Pap said in an interview. "It doesn't get no more disrespectful that that. Then, you're a Muslim who eats pork. Are you kidding me? You don't say that, you don't say you're a Muslim who eats pork. What's that? ... Nobody is going to disrespect New York while I'm breathing -- that means when you disrespect New York, everything goes. It is what it is. This is hip-hop, don't get it twisted, I'm going to go on the record and say that." (Hot 97)
He also put Rosenberg and fellow Hot 97 radio personality Miss Info on blast.
"I'm just tired of this, all of the bias situations," Pap added. "That don't apply to the fans or the streets -- everything you do is bias. Any situation with Papoose, you got something negative to say. When it's something positive, you don't say nothing positive. Hold on, you, Miss Info, I see all of y'all. All of y'all be hating. I know what's going on out here. ... People love what I do, you can't change my fans. ... You out there with the weirdos, you ain't fooling with the real dudes that really do this." (Hot 97)
While Pap opens a "Control" remix by thanking Kendrick for letting him perform during his set at last June's Hot 97 Summer Jam, he goes in on the West Coast rapper with handfuls of bars.
"Tell Kendrick and TDE they need to lay off the PCP/ Far from the king, this is the city of BDP/ You'll never be a real west coast artist like Eazy E/ You f*cking joke, we laughing at you like hehehe/ Ya'll probably stick dildos in each other like Stevie G/ I mean Stevie J on that sex tape with E-V-E/Lil' Sean, Big Sean, let me see ID/Why you always say B.I.G.?/You ain't Bigge, you could D.I.E/Every time I hear you, you getting cornier like E-Y-E." ("Control" Remix)
Pap also unloads some heat on Kanye West and Young Money's Drake.
"Kendrick, Kanye, and Drake, they act feminine/ Wear a lot of clothes you usually see women in," Pap adds. "So the mainstream America finds interestin'/Push a muck to the forefront, they positionin'/You never made it 'cause you bringing lyrics in/Sound like a lady, you get away with murder, you George Zimmerman" ("Control" Remix)
