Cash Money Records' Mystikal is the latest hip-hop artist to hop onto the Miley Cyrus bandwagon after recently revealing his obsession of watching her twerk it out.

While he initially talked about booty-shaking in 2013, Mystikal could not resist revealing his love for Miley.

When asked for his two cents on the state of ass-centric anthems today versus then, he says little has changed. "It ain't no different," the former No Limits signee tells VIBE. "It's just a little different because of the digital age and how technology is." Because of said technology, twerking has resurfaced as a viral phenomenon courtesy of an unlikely backer: Miley Cyrus. The "Fly Rich" rapper admits to scoping out the ex-Disney starlet on the 'Net, even running the visual back several times. "I rewind it," he said of Miley's video where she flaunts her booty-popping skills in a unicorn onesie. "I liked it. I liked it a lot! (Laughs)" The Let's Get Ready MC adds that he may serve up another banger dedicated to the gyrating dance. "I'ma have y'all twerkin' so be cool," he says. (VIBE)

Earlier this month, Atlanta producer Mike Will Made It released a photo of Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj together in a studio.

Are Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj cooking up a collaboration? The twerking twosome were pictured in the lab with producer Mike WiLL Made It. "Kik'n shit wit mileycyrus and @NICKIMINAJ. #MadeItMafia #Bangerz," wrote the "We Can't Stop" hitmaker, who posted the photo on Instagram. (Rap-Up)

In June, Cyrus denied media and fan speculation of her trying to be a white version of Miss Minaj.

"A lot of people wanted to try to make me the white Nicki Minaj," Cyrus says. "That's not what I'm trying to do. I love 'hood' music, but my talent is as a singer." To that end, Edge is particularly excited about "Wrecking Ball"-a defiant power ballad produced by Dr. Luke with a thrilling vocal performance. "We were inspired by OneRepublic, and the way Timbaland used to do those big ballads," Cyrus says. Edge adds: "When Miley came to us she had really good songs already, including 'Wrecking Ball,' which blew us away. It could be a career song for her." (Billboard)

Barring any setbacks, Miley's upcoming new LP will land on stores shelves in early October.

Miley Cyrus is bringing her Bangerz this fall. The singer has set a release date for her fourth album. She announced the October 8 date on Twitter. "#BANGERZ #Oct8th," she tweeted. Miley has been in the studio with Mike WiLL Made It, Pharrell, Da Internz, Planet VI, Stacy Barthe, and Sam Hook, and has collaborated with Big Sean, Future, Nelly, and French Montana, who she worked with on a remix to "Ain't Worried About Nothin." "I had no preconceived ideas w/ this record," she told one fan. "The album revealed its name about 8 songs in when I realized we got nutn but #bangerz. (Rap-Up)
