Nearly a week after Kanye West's taped one-on-one interview on the "Kris Jenner Show" premiered, reports claim Kim Kardashian's mom may be out of a daytime job.
Reality star Kris Jenner made headlines Thursday (August 29) with reports of her show being cancelled going widespread.
Kris Jenner has been told by FOX executives that her six-week trial run at being a talk show host will be just that -- it's not coming back for a second run. The mother-of-six turned manager was recently told, "There is no chance the talk show is going to get a green light from FOX. The ratings were averaging an abysmal 0.8 and advertisers were less than enthusiastic about it." (Radar Online)
An insider admitted Kanye's appearance last week sparked ratings but did not convince executives to keep her for the long haul.
"Kris did get a ratings bump for her last show when Kanye West revealed the first baby pic of daughter, North West, with Kim, but that was a one time shot in the arm and it wouldn't be indicative of what the ratings trend would be," the source close to the production told RadarOnline.com. The revelation about Jenner's demise leaves few standing in the crowded field of daytime talkers, including Katie Couric, Steve Harvey, as well as fall hopefuls Queen Latifah and Bethenny Frankel. Despite the alleged pink slip being issued, sources at Fox have shut down the rumors.
But Fox reps slammed the report, confirming that Jenner had not been booted from the network. "Rumors are false," a spokesperson told the Daily News. Jenner, the 57-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian family, has drawn attention to her show through hosting members of her extended reality star family. (New York Daily News)
The 57-year-old also reportedly addressed the matter on her Twitter page.
Last week, she unveiled the first publicly seen photo of new granddaughter North West, in what was widely seen as an attempt to boost ratings. But the "momager" seems to be holding strong, as speculation swirled over whether her show would be picked up past the six-week trial period. "Rumors flying are false but glad everyone is still buzzing about our 6 week summer run!!!!" Jenner wrote on Twitter. (New York Daily News)
