News: Police Want Suge Knight In Handcuffs, Rap Executive Issued Multiple Arrest Warrants
Monday, Jul 1, 2013 10:35AM
Former Death Row Records owner Marion "Suge" Knight is reportedly wanted in California as two arrest warrants have been issued dating back to crimes from 2011.
Details of the messy situation surfaced across the Internet early Monday (July 1).
Knight had two hearings this month regarding both cases -- one from 2011 and one from 2012 -- when cops busted him driving on a suspended license ... but we're told he blew both off. Bench warrants were subsequently issued for each case -- both for $20,000. It's the second time bench warrants have been issued for Knight in these cases -- back in February, warrants were issued for the same reason (blowing off a court date) but those warrants had previously been resolved. Last year, Suge ran into legal problems with law enforcement out in Las Vegas.
Stop us if you've heard this one before: Suge Knight's in trouble again. The erstwhile Death Row Records impresario was popped in Las Vegas on Wednesday for drug possession during a routine traffic stop. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police tell E! News that Knight (full name Marion Knight Jr.) was pulled over at approximately 5:30 p.m. yesterday when he made an unsafe lane change. Officers ran his name through the system and discovered that he had several bench warrants out for his arrest. (E! Online)
He recently created some significant buzz after reuniting with ex-Death Row Records artist Snoop Dogg.
Look how happy Snoop is! The Doggfather-turned-Lion Man reportedly ran into his old Death Row Records label chief Suge Knight at the A.V. Club on Monday night. The above photo was snapped and uploaded to Snoop's Instagram with the caption: "N d club wit Suge miss those death row days!" The photo sent a ripple through Snoop's fanbase, with some people torn over their rekindled friendship. (Many still conspire that Knight is accountable for fellow Death Row artist 2Pac's 1996 passing and that of the Notorious B.I.G. the next year.) (VIBE)
Snoop later admitted he wanted to be a bigger man and finally put an end to their distanced relationship.
"I think time heals all wounds," Snoop said in an interview. "And then being a bigger man and being one who accepts responsibility and right or wrong, I like saving lives, I don't like to take lives. If that means putting my hand out saying I'm wrong, I apologize and we be cool, I'll do that as opposed to me going behind my back, pulling a gun out and getting somebody or me doing something vicious to you."
