Maybach Music Group rapper Gunplay took tattoos to an entirely new level recently after revealing his World Wrestling Federation must-see ink job.

While Gunplay opted doing a facial tat like many of his hip-hop peers, he decided to go with an actual wrestling championship belt across his belly.

The World Wrestling Federation doesn't even exist anymore, but rapper Gunplay is joining the ranks of Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and more ... as the new WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP -- at least according to his new tattoo. The heavily-tatted Gunplay was in NYC Wednesday when we asked if he'd gotten any new ink recently, and the guy lifted up his shirt -- revealing a tattoo of the most famous championship belt in wrestling history ... the winged eagle belt. The belt was first worn by Hulk Hogan in 1988 -- and subsequently by legends like Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Yokozuna, Shawn Michaels, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The belt vanished into obscurity in 1998, and no one really knows where it went. (TMZ)

Back in April, Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy performed a few notable hits at WWE's WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey.

Diddy performed live at WWE's WrestleMania 29, wrestling's equivalent to the Super Bowl, on Sunday April 7. The Bad Boy CEO did a medley that included "Mo Money Mo Problems," "It's All About the Benjamins" and "Coming Home," the latter being the official theme song of the event, beneath a makeshift New York City skyline. Wrestlemania 29 went down at East Rutherford, NJ's MetLife stadium. (VIBE)

Rap stars like Lil Wayne were reportedly in attendance at the annual wrestling event.

In addition to this card many celebrities were named at the official press conference to appear at this year's extravaganza, including performances by Diddy and Living Colour, with appearances by Charlie Sheen, Jimmy Fallon, Mike Tyson, Snooki, and Lil Wayne. I'm not sure this Wrestlemania will compare to past Manias, but one thing's for sure, it will be entertaining. (Washington Times)

New York rapper Action Bronson recruited former WWE wrestler Dave "Batista" Bautistsa for a music video last year.

"He said 'I wanna do this video for you," Action recalls. "'I want to be in it. I want to be in on some villain sh*t and we're gonna have a fight scene.' The concept is pretty much, its just wildness. It's for this song called 'The Symbol' with Alchemist. It's a crazy demented type song. I was thinking the video would be some weird new "Dark Knight" type sh*t. Really dark and weird. He's a weird type of villain. Obviously, I beat the sh*t out of him. I'm definitely gonna DDT him! Hundred percent." (XXL Mag)
