G.O.O.D Music's Big Sean is the latest hip-hop artist to react to news of Kanye West and girlfriend Kim Kardashian naming their newborn daughter North West.
While initially thrown off by the name, Sean said he believes Ye and Kim's daughter will undoubtedly be beautiful.
He hasn't yet seen Kim and Kanye's newborn daughter North West, and was just as surprised by her name. "That's the name for real, huh?" asked Sean. "I know she's a beautiful little girl, I'm sure. Those guys are two good looking people, right? So they not gonna make no ugly babies." (Rap-Up)
According to weekend reports, KimYe decided not to give their first child together a middle name.
UPDATE: Things are looking more and more official in the moniker department. TMZ has posted an image of what it says is Baby North's birth certificate. And if legit, it looks like North is only headed West -- that is, she has no middle name. The document, filed in Los Angeles County, features only Kim's signature and reveals that her daughter was born at 5:34 a.m. on June 15. (USA Today)
Friday morning reports claimed Kim and Kanye went with the name North West.
Five days after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed a baby girl, said daughter's name has been revealed by TMZ. The celeb website, citing a signed birth certificate from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. they said they saw, reports that the couple named their daughter... North. Which, combined with daddy's last name, makes her... North West. (Fox News)
Following the big pre-weekend news, New York rapper N.O.R.E. said the newborn will undoubtedly get connected to him through her nickname.
"I'm just stoked," he told us on Friday (June 21) over the phone after he completed his morning jog. "There's a lot of children named after Nas, there's people named after Pun, there's people named after Biggie, Jay-Z, so on and so forth, and I'm just honored that her nickname remotely sounds like my name."
