[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 hip-hop artists of all-time. To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. After Tone Trump revealed his fave five, New York rapper Nature busts out his top picks.]

Ice CubeIce Cube. Ice Cube was one of the dudes that I was really listening to when I was younger. He was articulate and he just had a style that was kind of dope. He just drew pictures with his words. It was just real dope to me.

p-snoop-dogg.jpgSnoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg's first album was incredible. It was well put together. He's a real laid back guy. He was just dope. I never knew his career would last as long as it would but I was just loving everything they did. At the time, East Coast rap was kind of quiet. His music kind of just jumped out at me.

p-prodigy.jpgMobb Deep. They embodied everything that was my hood. When they had the trucks and shirts on in the "Shook Ones" video, those are things I would see on a daily basis. I knew the people they were rapping about so I could verify some of the things they were rapping about. They were the first ones to actually do their thing in my hood after the Maryley Marl area. They were dope and a bunch of kids and at the time, we all were.

p-q-tip.jpgA Tribe Called Quest. I thought they were dope. I thought they were different and it wasn't about the gold and diamonds. They were from Queens and just rocked out. Back in the days when we were really young, nobody was thinking about being solo. Everyone had their own little groups.

p-slick-rick.jpgSlick Rick. He always had the style. His story-telling was incredible too. I don't think I recall a picture of Slick Rick with sneakers on. Slick Rick had everything. He would talk about the Gucci socks in rhymes. I was kind of new to it because nobody in the hood really dressed like that. It was so different.
