Less than a week after being released from jail, Gucci Mane is already back to work, announcing the addition of Chicago rapper Chief Keef to his Brick Squad team.
Opting out of a press release or vlog, Gucci announced the news via his Twitter page.
"Chief Keef newest member of Bricksquad 1017 bmg gbe mpa #turnup pic.twitter.com/UWf6CPiylO," Gucci tweeted May 8th. (Gucci Mane's Twitter)
Keef also wasted no time and confirmed the news with a series of Gucci-related photos.

After spending weeks behind bars, Gucci Mane tasted freedom last Thursday (May 2).
Rapper Gucci Mane has just been released from jail in Georgia after spending nearly three weeks behind bars, TMZ has learned. As we reported, Gucci was arrested April 13th for a probation violation. He's been in jail since. Gucci's attorney, Drew Findling, tells us, the probation violation was triggered by a March 25th incident at an Atlanta nightclub ... when Gucci allegedly bottled a clubgoer in the head, causing a massive gash. Gucci was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident. That case is still pending. He's due in court later this month. (TMZ)
The Chief buzz comes after Gucci's public falling out with Brick Squad Monopoly head Waka Flocka Flame.
Flocka isn't buying it. "Nah, that Twitter wasn't hacked because we had a conversation before that. Real aggressive words like, 'N---a let's get up, let's do this,' " Waka said when he appeared on "RapFix Live" on Wednesday (March 27). Waka didn't reveal the details of that "real aggressive" conversation and was baffled as to why Gucci would label him disloyal. "I don't know. Honest to God truth, I don't know because I'm the loyalist person you could ever see. I took on a man's beef, risked my life, hung out the window, risked my freedom. I never backed in a corner," he said, referencing his involvement in Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy's beef. "To my knowledge, it can't be nothing but jealously or something because there is nothing I did disloyal." (MTV)
