Reports of an arrest warrant being issued hit the Internet last week.
Chad Johnson, whose NFL career came to an end when he was cut by the Dolphins following a domestic violence incident, is once again in trouble in connection with the same incident. Along with these problems, Johnson recently talked about struggling to make child support payments to an ex-girlfriend.
As part of his ongoing battle with baby mama Andrea Pearson, Chad claims that he can no longer make his $5,420 per month child support payments. Ocho says he agreed to that sum March 2012, when he was a successful NFL star. He says he now "finds himself without a contract and without a team." "Simply [I am] unemployed." He also says, at such a late stage in his career, it is certain he will never make that kind of cash again - Johnson made $66,000 a MONTH in 2012. (The Hollywood Gossip)
Last year, the one-time NFL great discussed the aftermath of his August 2012 domestic violence arrest.
Chad Johnson has finally admitted to being unfaithful to Basketball Wives star, Evelyn Lozada. The former NFL wide receiver appeared on ESPN's First Take on Wednesday where he was asked flat-out if the fight he had with Evelyn Lozada started over his infidelity. "Yes," Johnson responded. "I messed up. I messed up. Period. I lost everything. Football, my wife, the family I had, over something that didn't really mean anything," Johnson said referrencing his affair. Johnson and Lozada got into a heated argument back in August after she allegedly found a box of condoms inside his sports car. The argument escalated and ended with Johnson head-butting Lozada, causing a laceration that required stitches. Consequently, Johnson was arrested, cut by the Miami Dolphins and divorce; he also lost several endorsement deals and his wedding special with Lozada was canceled by VH1. The unemployed football player has since been taking domestic violence classes and trying to get back into the NFL. Asked if he thinks he deserves a second chance with Evelyn, he replied, "Yeah."
