R&B singer Chris Brown may have bigger things than Drake to worry about as reports claim he has received multiple death threats and has sought the help of the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to reports, threats to the mega singer's life immediately forced his attorney to get local law enforcement involved.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating death threats made against Chris Brown ... TMZ has learned. According to our sources, multiple threats were called in to the office of Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos. We're told the caller threatened Chris' life ... but it's unclear what, if any, specific threats were made. Our sources say Geragos took the threats very seriously and immediately reported them to the LAPD, giving them all the information he had on the calls. We're told Geragos filled out a report and the LAPD are currently investigating. (TMZ)
This all comes a few weeks after Brown officially parted ways with recently reunited girlfriend Rihanna.
Those who wondered if something was up with Chris Brown and Rihanna after she was unable to join him on his May 5 birthday might have been right! In a new interview with the Australian radio station 2DayFM, Chris admitted that he was split from RiRi and flying solo. "I'mma do it solo," Chris told the Aussie DJ. The R&B singer seems to intimate that his and Rihanna's schedules unfortunately got in the way of their relationship, and that her inability to make it to his birthday celebrations may have been a factor too: "I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thing, she on the road. It's always gonna be love. I'm a grown man, just gotta move forward." Though Chris said he is "always gonna love" Rihanna, he talked about how he's more focused on himself right now. "People have differences and people have different wants and needs," he says. "At the end of the day she's a young girl. I can't be focused on wife-ing somebody that young... and I'm young too." Brown recently had some dicey words when asked about his feud with Young Money's Drake.
"Man, y'all can't take me serious, I'm not a rapper," Chris said in an interview. "Nah, f*ck that, it's all good. It's rap, man, it's hip-hop. It's not going to escalate. It's like kiddy rap right now. So as far as what I'm doing -- I put my frustrations out in my music 'cause I know ain't nothin' finna happen. I say whatever I want. Rebuttals are going to be stupid, I'm not a rapper so you're going to be stupid rapping back to a singer. But I'm gonna keep coming, n*gga. I don't care. [laughs] It's all good." Despite his perceived bad guy persona, Brooklyn rapper Fabolous recently spoke up for Chris Breezy.
"I can't wager my friendship on a public or media persona of him," Fabolous told us at Barbounia during a lunch for Respect magazine. "Those people who have bad reputations, of course you wouldn't want to be around. But I don't believe he's a bad person. I believe, even if you're looking at the situation with Rihanna, things happen and you move on." Adding, "Whatever happened in the past is the past . . . even Rihanna's moved on. The public has perceptions of people off of what they see, not what they know." Brown is featured on "Really" on Fabolous' new album "Loso's Way II." (New York Post)
