New York rapper A$AP Rocky has revealed his disinterest in smoking as much as he used to and why Hollywood could be his next step following overnight success in the music industry.
While he would not get too specific, Rocky did admit there are some big plans in store for him.
"Yeah, I've been smoking less," Rocky revealed in an interview. "Yeah. Nah, because I'm actually preparing for bigger things right now. You know, it's like, you know Hollywood is calling, so you know how it go. Yeah. [laughs] You know how it goes. Yeah. [Will I be an actor?] You never know." ("The Angie Martinez Show")
Although there is no word on when he'll make an official Hollywood debut, Rocky has already been featured in a new Adidas "#QuickAintFair" sneaker campaign.
A$AP Rocky hops on as the 'narrator' of the new adidas #QuickAintFair commercial featuring some of the quickest and talented young players in the NBA. Jrue Holiday, John Wall and Rookie of The Year Damian Lillard show of their speed and handles in the video, with A$AP Rocky's "Goldie" in the background. (Ball Over All)
Not alone, Young Money's Nicki Minaj recently talked about wanting to dip her feet into the movie industry.
Nicki Minaj has set her sights on the big screen. She told Page Six on Oscar night, "I would love to act, it just has to be the right project, the right movie." "Nothing stereotypical about a singer," the rapper and "American Idol" judge said. "I have an agent, and we are looking at a couple of scripts, so we'll see." (New York Post)
Recently, 2 Chainz revealed his interest in taking acting seriously and looking at movie scripts.
Now he's thinking about what comes next; his second album is in the works, but 2 Chainz says something in the movie realm is also possible. "It sounds like a world I could be part of," he acknowledges. "We've got a couple of scripts we're looking at. We've got a couple endorsements. We've been looking at contracts, (publishing) deals. We have a few things going on in our small little world. "I'm just taking it one day at a time. My team is focused. We're still trying to make an impact in different things. I don't want to limit myself, so just be expecting some more from 2 Chainz." (Contra Costa Times)
