Grammy-winning singer Rihanna made sure to let fans know her marital status is unchanged after days of break-up rumors involving her and Chris Brown flooded the Internet.
RiRi took a sly but effective approach to silence the chatter by using her Instagram page yesterday (April 10).
Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together or still together, depending on what you believe. Despite rumors that they had split up, Rihanna posted a new photo of her and Breezy on Instagram. RiRi cozied up to her boo as they rode around Los Angeles in a convertible on a day off from her "Diamonds World Tour." She quoted lyrics from Chris' hit "Look at Me Now." "Yellow model chick in my yellow ass dress wit my yellow n*gga X ... This sh*t look like a toupee." Their fans rejoiced after seeing the photo. "This is the most beautiful thing ever," wrote one Instagram commenter, while another added, "Love you two together let the haters hate." (Rap-Up)
A few days ago, buzz about RiRi being a single lady heated up the online blogs.
Rihanna's gone up in smoke after calling it quits with Chris Brown ... ripping a fat blunt inside a Hollywood nightclub early Monday morning ... and TMZ has the pic. Sources inside Greystone Manor nightclub tell us, Rihanna arrived around 1am with her assistant and security guard ... and pretty much kept to herself. She left an hour or so later. As we reported, Rihanna and Chris Brown are officially broken up ... but our sources say it's nothing new for the on-again-off-again couple. We're told they'll be back together in no time. You might call it a chronic problem. (TMZ)
Recently, Brown spoke his February 2009 attack on RiRi and said the R&B diva had forgiven him.
Exhibit A: R&B star Chris Brown says he's worked hard and persuaded pop-star Rihanna to forgive him and love him again, even though he beat her up in 2009 and may still be on the hook for charges in the case. London's The Mirror tabloid is reporting today that he granted a "searingly honest" interview to a Mirror scribe in which he apologized, again, held up the assault as the "biggest mistake" of his life, and acknowledged that winning Rihanna back took months of "serious making up." "But she loves me -- what can I say? I'm forgiven ... but, yes, I worked hard for it," he told reporter Clemmie Moodie on Sunday at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar-watching party. (USA Today)
Now back together, Rihanna said Brown no longer has the luxury of messing up twice and getting away with it earlier this year.
"When you add up the pieces from the outside, it's not the cutest puzzle in the world," Rihanna says. "You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it's different now. We don't have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about sh*t. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don't want to lose that." And Rihanna says that if Brown were ever to display a hint of his past behavior towards her, she is ready to walk. "He doesn't have the luxury of f*cking up again," she says. "That's just not an option. I can't say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I'm pretty solid in the knowing that he's disgusted by that. And I wouldn't have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility." (Rolling Stone)
