Exclusive: Over 20 Years Later, The Shaq Attaq Explodes Back Onto The Scene [Exclusive Giveaway]
Friday, Apr 19, 2013 12:15PM
After 21 years off the market, retired NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal's blue, white and black high-top Reebok Shaq Attaq pumps sneaker returns to shelves nationwide.
The former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star joined the head of Reebok Classics alongside everybody's favorite creative director, Swizz Beatz, in Las Vegas, NV in February of this year. Now, the time has come for sneaker heads and Shaq fiends alike to flood retailers nationwide for this limited edition kick.
The shoes are going for $160 at key retailers including Jimmy Jazz, Shiekh, Villa, City Gear, DTLR, Shoe Palace and on Reebok.com.
If any can't remember all that Reebok Classic has to offer, "the legendary Shaq Attaq features Pump technology on the tongue, which gained tremendous equity with players at the time. Providing the ultimate in lightweight technology, the Shaq Attaq features Graphlite. A first of its kind lightweight technology, Graphlite is a plastic, incredibly strong fiber which allowed Reebok to strip away heavy rubber to create a sleeker, lighter silhouette. Graphlite technology keeps the shoe light, while still providing incredible stability. From a design perspective, the Shaq Attaq reflects the brightness of Orlando blue, the silhouette takes color phenomenally and was the perfect bold look for a player like Shaq."
