Messy Monday! It's a mess to get the week started, beginning with a G-Unit member passing away? Time to send out R.I.P. flowers or is this the latest "swatting"-type attack? Speaking of attacks, it seems like Kanye West is ready to counterattack after Ray J's "I Hit It First" diss. Does Ray stand a chance? Speaking of chances, is Somaya Reece the reason "Love & Hip Hop" turned into what it is today A hot mess? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Talk Of The Internet

Is G-Unit's Tony Yayo down for the count? You would think so if you had nothing to do over the weekend but read tweets and go Internet surfing. It turns out there's been some buzz about 50 Cent's righthand man crossing over to the other side. Travelers Today has the rundown:

Tony Yayo is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the rapper and G-Unit member didn't die. He's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. A report popped up this week saying that Shelton died in a car crash. Global Associated News said that Tony Yayo died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell on April 7. The report says that Shelton lost control of the vehicle and rolled the car, killing him instantly. It then says that memorial service plans will be announced and that he will have a closed casket due to his severe head trauma. The report is false. Tony Yayo didn't die in a car crash. Since there are so many details to the accident, it's easy to believe that its real, but Global Associated News creates fake news reports. A message at the bottom of the site reads: "FAKE... THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!" Global Associated News allows people to enter a celebrity name into a generator, which then creates a fake news story about their death. Other celebrities have died in the same exact car crash before. Singer Jesse McCartney, TV host Jerry Springer, basketball star Kobe Bryant and several others were killed in a car crash between Roswell and Morristown. (Travelers Today)

Fake news stories about your favorite celebrity's death? Isn't there a bit too much real death happening these days with our icons that this seems a bit much? Glad to hear we can still look forward to a G-Unit reunion with the original members all alive and well. #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Clap Back

Is Kanye West ready to go to war with Ray J after hearing "I Hit It First" over the weekend? In Ray J's defense, he didn't say anything on the song that wasn't true. Unfortunately, he did take ample shots at both Kanye and mother-to-be Kim Kardashian. Isn't there a rule somewhere that protects pregnant women from being the target of jabs? Hollywood Life has more on Kanye's reaction:

"Ray J is crazy" for releasing a song that overtly disses Kanye and Kim, a source close to the rapper tells HollywoodLife.com. Kanye is very upset over "I Hit It First," which contains lyrics like, "Hit it from north/Brought her head down south/Now that I'm finished/She's on to Mr. West." He's infuriated that Ray J would trudge up his and Kim's sex tape from 2007 just to get a little attention. But the source assures us that Kanye sees the song for what it truly is -- a publicity stunt. "Kanye don't condone broke ass, jealous [guys] who be trying to bite off he and Kim's fame just to stay, wait, just to become relevant." Even though Kanye's fuming, the source states that Yeezy won't be giving Ray J the attention he wants. So we should probably stop hoping for Kanye to release a diss track of his own (that battle wouldn't even be fair). Instead, don't expect much of a response from Kim and Kanye, as Ray J fades back into obscurity. "Tell him to call Ye when he gets to the $100-million mark," our source concludes. "Cause guess what -- Ye 'hit that' first." (Hollywood Life)

It seems unlikely Kanye would even give Ray J the time or day to consider even responding to this song let alone listening to it. It's simply a joke and even though a bit catchy, no one is really going to take Ray J too seriously right here, especially Kanye. #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Respect The Hustle

Is Somaya Reece the real reason why everyone has "Love & Hip Hop" all over their DVR devices and bookmarked on their laptops/computers? Well, in actuality, she very well could be. If your memory goes back far enough, Somaya is really the first lady who brought the fierce out of Chrissy back in season one when she moved out to New York from Los Angeles. They had some classic sparring but since season one, Somaya's been MIA from the show and now Chrissy is a distant memory. Bossip has the scoop on Somaya's issues:

On her life since leaving Love And Hip Hop: "I'm doing much better without the show. The best thing I did was separate myself from that show. Love and Hip Hop is not about elevation in a positive light [so] it's not going to help me. I'm very grateful that I had the platform because I got what I could out of it. Regardless of what they did to me and how they decided not to follow positive story lines, I'm still greatful for it because I still got out of it what I needed it to. No matter what new cast that they get....the show...because of me and Chrissy and Jim Jones big fight and everything that was going on, that's the reason why this entire brand exists. They would not exist if it wasn't for the original cast members." (Bossip)

You have to admit, she may have a very valid point. Unfortunately, Somaya including her name, Jim Jones and Chrissy in the same sentence comes off a bit bashful and over-the-top. Since Somaya graced those season one episodes, we've been introduced to entire new cast members, same old storylines and more fights than we could have ever imagined. #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That abotu wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.
