Written by SOHH for Ace Hood

[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 rappers of all-time. To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. After RA the Rugged Man scooped out his fave five, We The Best's Ace Hood names his top picks.]

p-lil-wayne.jpgLil Wayne. I grew up on Wayne. Wayne is part of the reason why I wanted to pursue music. Him being from the South, I always thought he was great at what he do and not only being smart. Now being under the Cash Money/Young Money label, I have got to see him work and he's incredible. Everything he's done for the game and what he continues to do is nothing but amazing.

p-kanye-west.jpgKanye West. Kanye's style is incredible. He's focused. He's very bold. He does the unthinkable. He takes music to places a normal artist wouldn't think of. He made me feel like my creativity should be much more. He takes things to a different level, different heights.

p-drake.jpgDrake. I feel like Drake is dope. Drake is definitely one of the hottest and one of the best doing it now. He really has substance and makes great music. I can really relate to it.

p-snoop-dogg.jpgSnoop Dogg. Snoop has paved the way for so many. Just for that fact alone, he should be in the Hall of Fame. He's done so much for hip-hop as well and he's still doing it. He's still found a way to reinvent himself.

p-big-pun.jpgBig Pun. Pun was just one of them guys that was above his time. He was a lyrical genius. He had those fast flows and really inspired me. He was crazy, so crazy with it. He had the lyricism, punchlines and everything else. He was crazy nice. I definitely feel like he has to be on that [SOHH] Top 10 list.
