Young Money's Drake has finally unleashed his hard-hitting "5 AM In Toronto" music video just weeks after premiering the Chris Brown and Weeknd-targeted track online.
The gritty music video debuted across the Internet Tuesday (April 2) morning.
Rapper Drake had shots fired at him this week constantly by Chris Brown, who vowed more disses were on the way. However, the 'Started From the Bottom' rapper seems to be more precise and calculated with his music masterpieces. Today, Drizzy released the new "5AM In Toronto" music video, a single that addresses issues with a coy approach. Chris Brown, the Weekend, nor the 2013 MTV Hottest MC's In The Game list were safe from Drizzy on this one. The music video's anticipation is extremely high according to Hip Hop 2013 and T.D.E. artist Schoolboy Q. (CK Hid)
The rapper is shown throughout the video with his entourage and various eye-catching women.
Toronto rap superstar Drake drops the music video of his latest single "5AM in Toronto", his second single following his hit "Started from the Bottom". For the Boi-1da-produced track, the 26-year-old rapper went back to his beloved hometown to shoot the new video helmed by co-directors Andrew Hamilton and Ram Accoumeh. To depict the setting suggested by the song title, Drake shoots down his rap holding a lit cigarette and a coffee cup on each hand as he is backed up by his entourage. He is then shown hanging out surrounded by black lights and lots of scantily-clad women, as if he's coming from a night of partying and club-hopping. (Ace Showbiz)
The platinum-selling artist also hopped onto his Twitter page to boast about the new visual.
"That might be like my first viral video. Doing it for the city this time around. Well every time but this time especially.," he tweeted April 2nd. (Drake's Twitter)
Shots from the music video shoot surfaced online last week.
With "Started From the Bottom" still making waves on the charts, Drake went in front of the lens to shoot the video for "5AM in Toronto." Wearing a throwback Cash Money Millionaires "Welcome to the Family" sweater, the Young Money rapper and his OVO crew took over the indoor sandbox court at Beach Blast in his hometown of Toronto earlier this week. The dark visuals called for black lights and bikini-clad girls, who posed as volleyball players. Drizzy shot one scene overlooking the sandy court with the Canadian flag in the background. Many basketball players were said to be on set as well. (Rap-Up)
