[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name who they feel is the most underrated emcee in hip-hop. After Kayla Brianna gave Andre 3000 the title earlier this week, Philadelphia rapper Eve crowns The Roots SOHH Underrated.]
I think the Roots are underrated. I think now that they're more mainstream being on Jimmy Fallon's [late night talk] show definitely gets them out there.
They had a time where it was up and down for them. For me, I've loved them since I was 15-years-old [and being] from Philly. I think they have been so underrated. They've come up with so many different and amazing sounds, their stage presence is ridiculous. I would have to say the Roots.
Black Thought is amazing. Black Thought is just so f*cking dope. If you go back and listen to his wordplay, it's so bananas.
