San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is reportedly looking to cash-in on his $20 million lawsuit against New York City nightclub W.i.P. by citing Chris Brown's latest physical altercation.
According to reports, Parker references Chris Breezy's fight with fellow singer Frank Ocean earlier this month in his case against the popular nightclub.
Chris Brown's volcanic temper -- in particular his recent blowup with Frank Ocean -- has ironically become NBA star Tony Parker's secret weapon in a lawsuit against a New York City nightclub ... TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story ... Parker has filed a $20 million lawsuit against W.i.P. nightclub, claiming it should never have let Brown in last June -- the night his posse fought with Drake's people ... a fight that ended with a shard of glass piercing Tony's cornea. Tony has just filed new legal docs in his lawsuit, claiming Chris Brown's parking-spot fiasco last week with Frank Ocean is proof he's unfit to socialize in places where he's likely to fly off the handle. The NBA champion also reportedly cites Brown's publicized 2009 attack on R&B diva Rihanna in his suit.
You'll recall ... the fight between team Brown and team Drake at W.i.P. erupted because both men were romantically linked to Rihanna. And speaking of Rihanna ... Tony's new legal docs make reference to her brutal beating ... at the hands of one Chris Brown. Tony believes there was more than enough evidence on the table to deny Chris a table at W.i.P. on the violent night in question. (TMZ)
Reports of his pricey legal case made nationwide headlines last June.
The club is also facing a $20 million lawsuit from NBA star Tony Parker over injuries he sustained in the fight. The suit centers around many of the same charges the club is facing from the liquor authority: they didn't do enough to stop the fight, they didn't have enough security working when the fight started, and they should have known better than to let two guys who've publicly feuded for the same girl into the club at the same time. Parker was in the V.I.P. section when the fight broke out, and suffered an injury to his cornea in the ensuing melee. An injury to his eye, the suit argues, isn't exactly great for Parker's basketball career. Therefore, $20 million please. (The Atlantic Wire)
Parker claimed he nearly lost an eye at the hands of Brown and the nightclub's insufficient security.
NBA superstar Tony Parker said Friday he was hit in the eye by shards of glass when bottles started flying and exploding at the W.I.P. club. The 6-foot-2-inch point guard said he was living it up with pals at the SoHo nightspot "when a fight broke out" early Thursday between the posses of rapper Drake and R&B star Chris Brown. Parker, who is supposed to play for France in the Summer Olympics next month, said he could have lost an eye. (New York Daily News)
