Dipset's Jim Jones reportedly found himself in handcuffs today (February 13) after getting into a heated altercation with a New Jersey police officer near his home.

Details of what went down bubbled online Wednesday afternoon.

Fair Lawn resident and rap mogul Jim Jones was arrested Wednesday after he "got out of line" with an officer who was handling a parking complaint in front of the Dipset founder's Ward Street home, police said. Jones, whose legal name is Joseph, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction for refusing to peaceably settle two outstanding warrants for his arrest, Lt. Derek Bastinck said. Sgt. James Corcoran was in the process of responding to a complaint of a snowbound and illegally parked car outside Jones' home at the corner of Grunauer Place and Ward Street, when Jones approached him to ask what he was doing, Bastinck said. Things intensified when Jones was informed of outstanding warrants.

Bastinck said when Corcoran proceeded to run Jones' name through a police database, he found two warrants out for Jones' arrest -- one from Paterson for a motor vehicle violation and one from Fair Lawn for failure to remove snow from his sidewalk. When Corcoran asked Jones to go with him to police headquarters to settle both oustandings warrants, Jones denied their existence and became disorderly, according to police reports. "If [people with oustanding warrants] agree, we'll just have them come down and pay what they owe," Bastinck said, "but if they don't agree, they're placed under arrest." As a result of his failure to cooperate, Jones was arrested and taken into police custody, Bastinck said. He said this was the first time they'd had a problem with the celebrity resident. Capo caught a big break by avoiding jail and paying a small fine over a publicized casino altercation a year ago.

Rapper Jim Jones just struck a sweet deal with prosecutors -- getting off with a measly fine today after raising hell in a massive casino brawl back in February, TMZ has learned. Jones was originally hit with three misdemeanor charges following his involvement in the Foxwoods brawl -- breach of peace, interfering with an officer, and inciting a riot. He pled "not guilty" to all three. But today, Jones changed his plea to guilty for the interfering with an officer charge after prosecutors agreed to drop the remaining charges. Jones was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine. The case is now closed. (TMZ)

Following the brawl, Jimmy openly apologized for his actions.

"I apologize to my son pudy for havin to see his farther act like a beast thts not th example I want to set for him I love u pudy," he tweeted Monday (February 27). (Jim Jones' Twitter)
