G.O.O.D. Music's Big Sean has stepped up to offer the latest spin on what's delayed the allegedly scrapped Cruel Winter compilation album and promised it would drop sooner than people think.

Although mum on the details, Sean promised the rumored G.O.O.D. Music group effort is still in the works.

"Yeah, I hear it's coming," Sean said in an interview with radio host Jenny Boom Boom when asked about the LP possibly being delayed indefinitely. "I don't want to spill the beans. I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure you're gonna get it soon, sooner than you think. You know, who knows? It's gonna be an awesome project and like I said, you're gonna get my project, you're gonna get Pusha T's album later on this year, Teyana Taylor's album, Common." ("Jenny Boom Boom")

G.O.O.D. Music's Pusha T recently spoke on label head Kanye West's timing issues possibly delaying the album's release indefinitely.

"I can tell you right now, I probably have 15 verses that are just over beats, that are lying around wherever 'Ye and his hard drive is right now," he said. "And I'm sure Cyhi, Sean, Cudi, Tip, everybody has other production or verses on these records as well." It's no secret that Kanye is very guarded about his studio work and it is with reason, Push says. "I think 'Ye really tries to keep the brand, keep it up to a certain standard and piecing together a record like that, it's just not gonna work," he said. (MTV)

Chicago rapper Common crushed fans' hopes after claiming the LP would likely never drop in an interview last month.

Does G.O.O.D. Music really have a Cruel Winter album coming? Oh, yeah, nah, nah. I don't think that's happening. It was more of a rumor -- cats been creating, but everybody's been doing their solo album. So that's what that is. (Vulture)

Back in October, the clique's rap veteran Q-Tip accidentally spilled the beans on the star-studded follow-up to last year's Cruel Summer.

"We're just trying to do some next 'ish, you know what I'm saying?," Tip said in an interview when asked about working with Kanye West. "Look out for the Pusha T album, the Big Sean album's coming up next. [Can you expect me on Cruel Winter?] Oh yeah, for sure. I can't really, [laughs], let out too much details about it but yeah, I'll be on it. Kanye had the plan for that, so look out." (Hip Hop Since 1978)
