News: 50 Cent Says His Wins Are Why So Many People Hate Him
Sunday, Feb 17, 2013 9:16AM
G-Unit head 50 Cent is not letting the haters get into his head, crediting an intense work ethic for breeding so many people to criticize him.
Fif took to Twitter to acknowledge his haters and promise new music is on deck over the weekend.
"It come from winning, I just work hard "@ayokidexclusive: @50cent wow you gotta lot of haters ...smh being a big fan of yours i dont understand it #smsaudio"," Fif tweeted February 16th.
"I'm just getting started lol. S.K.I #SMSaudio" (50 Cent's Twitter)
Heading into the weekend, Curtis Jackson released his new "We Up" anthem.
A few weeks ago, 50 Cent posted a preview of the video for "We Up," his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and G-Unit signee Kidd Kidd. Perhaps because he didn't want the full black-and-white, tuxedo-heavy video to be overshadowed by a certain other clip with those elements that dropped this week, Fiddy today (February 15) premiered the full song, sans video. Days prior, Fif dropped his catchy and gritty "Financial Freedom" music video.
50 Cent makes his return to the game today with a dope new video for his latest track "Financial Freedom". The track has a nice throwback appeal that sounds as if it was recorded in 50's hay day, when he first came in the game. The video for "Financial Freedom" finds 50 in gritty warehouse of sorts. As he spits his bars he gets some black and white effects that add a grainy feel to the clip. This sh*t is tough, I'm happy to see 50 getting back to his old ways, dropping flames and hot tracks. (Stupid Dope)
Around mid-January, 50 cited changes at Interscope Records for delaying his upcoming solo album.
On Wednesday, the "I Get Money" MC revealed to MTV News that Street King won't be out on February 26 and is now slated for a spring release, citing internal changes at Interscope Records as the reason. "Actually it's the system," he said. "It's a lot of adjustments being made there, obviously Christmas I think 35 people got let go." In the past, Fif has really taken Interscope to task when it came to delays and leakage of his music. This time, however, he seems to be understanding of the situation and exercising a great deal of patience. "It's a shift in who's responsibilities are what, so as fast as they get it together," he said. "I'm confident they'll put it together though, so it'll be out." (MTV)
