G-Unit's 50 Cent sees himself in an elite class of emcees, declaring himself top five dead or alive material last night (February 6) on Twitter.

Along with the huge proclamation, Fif revealed plans to drop a new record sometime today.

"10 years, lets see if I still got it. I'm gonna write a song to night. Ill put it out tomorrow. SMSaudio," he tweeted February 6th.
"It's gonna be a south side joint. I'm a vet, I do this when I want to. IM TOP 5 DEAD OR A LIVE. SMSaudio"
"Oh it's gonna be hard "@313Eastside313: @etienne93516592 RT & #support lets get the hardest record 2 ... http://m.tmi.me/Jsc3O " (50 Cent's Twitter)

Mobb Deep's Prodigy previously crowned 50 in SOHH's Top 5 Dead Or Alive list.

"I would have to say 50 Cent. Son is real nice with his sh*t. When it comes to 50, he just says some sh*t that I can really relate to. I can really relate to his sh*t. He almost reminds me of myself, how we rhyme. Crazy sh*t. You listen to him and say, "D*mn, he just said some sh*t." I can relate to that. Sh*t from the hood and what goes on. That's my type of sh*t. It's real sh*t and he's not playing. He means that sh*t." (SOHH Top 5 Dead Or Alive)

Recently, Brooklyn rap newcomer D. Chamberz also listed Fif in SOHH's Top 5 Dead Or Alive.

"50 Cent. I got 50 on there because he came from the street, read books, put his knowledge into his business. He still has the aggressive mindset to go and get it but he smartened up, got a business, put people on around him and kept it moving." (SOHH Top 5 Dead Or Alive)

50 is currently putting together his upcoming Street King Immortal solo album.

On Wednesday, the "I Get Money" MC revealed to MTV News thatStreet King won't be out on February 26 and is now slated for a spring release, citing internal changes at Interscope Records as the reason. "Actually it's the system," he said. "It's a lot of adjustments being made there, obviously Christmas I think 35 people got let go." In the past, Fif has really taken Interscope to task when it came to delays and leakage of his music. This time, however, he seems to be understanding of the situation and exercising a great deal of patience. "It's a shift in who's responsibilities are what, so as fast as they get it together," he said. "I'm confident they'll put it together though, so it'll be out." (MTV)
