Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross has decided to delay the announcement of his upcoming solo album in light of New Year's festivities.

Ricky Rozay announced his original plans to unveil a new LP title on New Year's Day have switched up.

"For everyone still celebrating New Years like myself..Im now releasing NEW LP Title Jan.7!!"
"Jan7 we unify the belts.can only be one.," Ross tweeted January 2nd. (Rick Ross' Twitter)

Fans initially expected him to let loose on the album title come New Year's Day.

Miami Hip-Hop star Rick Ross has announced the date he will reveal the title of his next album. Rick Ross is currently putting the finishing touches on his sixth studio album, the follow-up to last year's Gold selling effort, God Forgives, I Don't. The rapper revealed that he will ring in the New Year, by releasing the name of his album title on January 1. (All Hip Hop Rumors)

Last August, his latest solo effort dominated its competition atop the sales chart.

Leading the way this week is Rick Ross' God Forgives, I Don't at No. 1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the Boss' new LP has shelled out 219,100 copies after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

Outside of his own individual projects, Ross recently announced his entire Maybach Music Group label would move to Atlantic Records.

Now this comes out of nowhere. During his chat with Miami's 99 Jamz last night, Rick Ross announced that his imprint Maybach Music Group has moved from Warner Music to its subsidiary Atlantic Records. The revelation wasn't caught on video which we posted but the radio channel did confirm it on their Twitter. This is an interesting turn of events since Young Jeezy is currently the Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records which means he's bound to have a big say in the music MMG releases from here on. Or we suppose. (HHNM)
