Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West had luck on his side Thursday (January 3) by getting stopped for a few traffic-related violations only resulting in a scodling.

According to reports, Yeezy ran into cops after getting busted for speeding and having tinted windows in Los Angeles.

Kanye West is a lucky man -- not only a newly-minted father-to-be, but also a charmed driver, because cops let him skate with a warning after he left the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood early this morning. Kanye didn't have much to say as he left the hotel, and judging from his exit he had places to go as he accelerated West on Sunset Blvd. Law enforcement sources tell us, they pulled Kanye over for speeding and tinted windows and let him go with a warning. Warnings aren't that unusual ... unless it's you, of course. (TMZ)

The police run-in comes days after he publicly announced reality television girlfriend Kim Kardashian is pregnant.

The rapper announced at a concert Sunday night that his girlfriend is pregnant. He told the crowd of more than 5,000 at Revel Resort's Ovation Hall in song form: "Now you having my baby." The crowd roared. And so did people on the Internet. The news instantly went viral on Twitter and Facebook, with thousands posting and commenting on the expecting couple. (CBS News)

Kim has since confirmed the news through an open blog post.

"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo" (Kim Kardashian's Blog)

The Hollywood duo celebrated New Year's Eve together in Las Vegas.

Kim Kardashian delivered the baby bombshell herself Monday and still planned to shake her pregnant assets as the host of a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas, a source told the Daily News. "She'll be here," Kelsey Lima, a VIP coordinator for the pricey party at 1 Oak in the Mirage resort said just hours before the expected red carpet arrival. "She'll definitely be here to count down to midnight, but obviously she won't be partying hard." Lima said "nobody" could confirm whether baby daddy Kanye West would join the $125-per ticket festivities. (New York Daily News)
