Wishful Wednesday. It's all about wishing for the best today as we start off with one of Young Jeezy's boys getting punked, jumped and snuffed in Philadelphia. Ouch? Too bad they couldn't think of more peaceful things to do for the holidays, like gawk at Nicki Minaj's Christmas attire in New York City. It was just a Turnpike ride up north. And 'tis the season to be giving, but did Trinidad James jack Martin Lawrence to create his rap persona? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Can't We All Just Get Along?

Isn't there too much violence going down in hip-hop? It's not enough that we have horrific shootings like in Connecticut and in Florida, but now knuckling up outside of clubs? It's way too cold to throw punches this time of the year, but apparently that message did not get across to Young Jeezy associate Tone Trump and some of Meek Mill's guys. Bossip has more:

Another Rapper Jumped On Video: Jeezy Artist-Philly Rapper Tone Trump Gets Jumped By Meek Mills Artist-Philly Goons Over Twitter Beef! Of course Louie V is pushing his own music heavy after the beating... and on twitter has promised a part 2 of the video. Tone Trump said the usual on his twitter... "N__gas be hatin!" PS: If you look at the video closely... you will see Tone pull out some kind of hammer or something. What was that? (Bossip)

Is this just a case of Corporate Thugs Entertainment and Maybach Music Group really beefing or is this something we should just ignore? Even though violence is never a key to resolving issues, maybe a good whooping every once in a while keeps things entertaining. At least no weapons appeared to be used. Question is, why are people more insistent on recording violence rather than doing something to stop it? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Hot Tamale

It might have been a cold Christmas for most of us, but Nicki Minaj got things sizzling for her Hot 97 X-Mas concert last night in New York City. It's never been doubted that she's much more than your average female emcee, look-wise and that was obvious at her Webster Hall show. Huffington Post has the proof:

Nothing says festive holiday attire like a studded, plunging, spandex catsuit. When Nicki Minaj stepped out to host a Christmas Extravaganza event at Webster Hall in New York City on Dec. 25, her getup was definitely more naughty than nice. (Hey, at least the red-trimmed shoulder panels and cheerfully hued sunglasses added a seasonally appropriate touch.) Fans of the "Starships" singer will be happy to know that the Season 12 premiere of "American Idol," which sees Minaj joining fellow diva Mariah Carey at the judges' table, is now just three weeks away. (Huffington Post)

Check please? With "American Idol" on deck, big endorsement deals with Pepsi popping, album-selling ability and earning the title of one of the most respected and envied women in the rap biz, Nicki has the world in her palms. #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Gimmie The Loot

Is Trinidad James the real deal? There's buzz behind him ever since "All Gold Everything" dropped and he landed a big record deal at Def Jam, but there's always been something a bit off. His appearance, while stunning at first glance, resembles somebody but most of us couldn't put our fingers on it until now. All Hip Hop Rumors has the inside:

LOL! You probably saw this a couple days ago, but I missed it shopping for my dog. Well, it looks like Trinidad James may have a lawsuit on his hand from the co-creator of "Martin." "Nobody's that unattractive in real life. Gold chains, gold rings, and rotten teeth, that's Jerome!! ...Martin created that," said 'Martin' Creator Gerald Levin. Levin believes - as I did - Trinidad James is some parody, not a real rapper. This means he can be sued because he looks too much like the parody on "Martin." He's gonna sue for $5 million dollars if Trini James doesn't chill! (All Hip Hop Rumors)

Is there really any argument? Looks like there could be some real legitimate issues at hand. Trinidad does strike an amazingly similar resemblance to Martin's character "Jerome." Could there be some copyright infringement case looming over Def Jam's head? We all remember how well Freeway Ricky Ross made out trying to sue Rick Ross on similar charges. Any chance this could hold up in court? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That about wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the morning scoop from your favorite gossip sites.
