Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo is reportedly putting his personal life onto the small screen with plans to air a new reality show called "All My Babies' Mamas" next spring.
According to reports, the show will narrow in on Shawty's relationships with his ten different ex-girlfriends.
Oxygen Media has ordered what they're describing as a "daring" (according to their press release) new 1-Hour special titled All My Babies' Mamas, which will premiere next spring. The project will center on the complicated lives of one man, his many women, and their many children. Further... the series which comes from creative duo Liz Gateley and Tony DiSanto of DiGa Vision...... will capture the highs and lows of this extreme 'blended family' that is anything but ordinary, while also showing the drama and the passion behind life's most unexpected situations. In addition, Cori Abraham, Senior Vice President of Development at Oxygen Media, says: "'All My Babies' Mamas' will be filled with outrageous and authentic over-the-top moments that our young, diverse female audience can tweet and gossip about." A trailer for the series reportedly dates back to two months ago.
So I did a little digging to either confirm or negate my assumptions, and, while I can't say that I'm 100% certain that this will center on a black man and his families, I feel fairly confident that it will. Primarily because I found the below video on Vimeo, registered to a DiGa Vision as the account holder - DiGa Vision also being the name of the production company behind the above Oxygen upcoming special. And as you can see, based on the title of the video, as well as what you'll find in the content of the video, this is likely a preview/promo/pitch of what they sold to Oxygen... unless something's changed in the last 2 months (Vimeo says the video was uploaded 2 months ago). The rapper reportedly has 11 children from 10 different women.
The fact that I saw a Plan B ad before this clip makes we wanna quit at this very moment. But I'll stay on so I can go try to comprehend that Shawty Lo really might be on TV soon with a starring role in a reality show called "All My Babies' Mamas" with you. Allegedly, the Oxygen Network will be airing this monstrosity sometime next year. Yes, 11 kids, 10 baby mamas, and 1 rapper. Help us... (Miss Info TV)
Shawty Lo has also hopped onto his Twitter page to confirm the buzz.
"Listen to @streetz945atl for my Interview about my new show," he tweeted December 27th.
