Underrated: "Put All These New Rappers In A Room Together & I Wouldn't Know Who's Who"

[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name who they feel is the most underrated emcee in hip-hop. After Webstar gave Fabolous the title last week, music newcomer Hazel-E crowns M.I.A. and Santigold SOHH Underrated.]
Well, female-wise, I'm going to have to say M.I.A. for SOHH Underrated.
I think she's dope. She's like, one of my favorites and this new record "Bad Girls," that "Bad Girls" record she has? Oh my God. I bump it every single day. And then even going under her, I'd say Santigold.
I'm a fan of Santigold too. They're both not mainstream. You're not going to go to the clubs and hear their records but I think they're super dope and they're underrated as females. For sure.
I think the males get all the shine. I was really upset when I heard an advertisement for the Summer Jam line-up in LA and there was not one chick on that line-up. I was like, "That is so not fair." It's 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Drake, Rick Ross, Kid Cudi. I'm like, "D*mn, is there going to be one female that's going to be on this line-up?"
I don't feel they're underrated, like Chief Keef. There's just so many new male rappers and they just keep getting on. Ca$h Out, "Ca$hin' Out," it's like, there's so many of them. If you put A$AP Rocky, Chief Keef and all these new rappers in a room together I wouldn't know who is who.
Put Meek Mill in a room full of dudes and I think I know which one Meek is. Not even trying to be funny, there's just so many of them and it's like, why won't they let a chick come through?
I'm happy they're letting Iggy Azalea come through, in a way, I don't necessarily like how she's coming through but at least they're trying to catch her buzz. People are trying to catch the Azealia Banks buzz. But they're not getting it like they do with the guys.
Sometimes it's just not fair. We can do it too. Look at Nicki Minaj, they took a chance with her and look at how big she is.
With the streets buzzing and great projects on the horizon, HAZEL-E's future in entertainment is strong and steady on the rise. Recently, the pop-diva was featured in the New York Post: Page Six for her star studded birthday bash, "Lifestyle Of A Valley Girl Vol. IV" at Dolce in Miami Beach, Fla. "I want to be #1 on all pop charts, I want a Grammy, Billboard, AMA, MTV and a BET award. I want to be multi-platinum, I want to be a major staple in pop culture!" says the song bird-lyricist of her ambitions.
