Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball star Skylar Diggins has come forward to clear the air on rumors of being romantically linked to Young Money's Lil Wayne after he came to peep one of her recent games.
Rather than feed into the hype, Diggins immediately killed the romance rumors.
Diggins talked about the gossip involving her and Weezy on Twitter, assuring people there's nothing going on between the two. Recounting a conversation she had with someone, Diggins wrote: Guy: What was Lil Wayne doing there last night? Me: Watching the game, I would imagine. Guy: Nothing special? Me: Nothing special. "Nothing special" ... that just about says it all. (RumorFix)
Romance rumors between the two entertainers surfaced a few days ago.
A member of Wayne's Young Money squad allegedly told MTO that "Lil Wayne flew his private jet yesterday to South Bend, Indiana so that he could see Skylar play in a basketball game. The two hung out afterwards and we're told that Weezy promised to fly to all her games if she wanted." (Media Take Out)
Photos of Weezy F. Baby at one of Diggins' games heated up the Internet last week.
Lil Wayne traveled to South Bend, Indiana, to see Skylar Diggins and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Baylor Lady Bears at the NCAA Women's basketball game on Wednesday. Weezy grabbed a courtside seat, sporting camouflage cargos, Jordans, and a black hoodie, as he cheered on Notre Dame's 22-year-old point guard. "Just left the Notre Dame game and it was a good one! And the people were super kool there. Luv! Now I'm goin sk8!!!!!!! Good game Sky!" tweeted Tunechi. The "No Worries" rapper has expressed his love for Diggins in the past, wearing her jersey while in her home state for his "I Am Music II" tour last year. (Rap-Up)
Last summer, Skylar addressed Weezy's support of her Notre Dame team.
"It was good, it just shows that our sport can entertain any demographic," Diggins said about Wayne supporting her. "He showed not only love to me, myself, but my team, my school, he watches women basketball. He's a fan of my craft and likewise with me and him." (Baller Status)
