Female comedian Jenny Johnson has stepped forward to speak on the aftermath of her short-lived Twitter feud with R&B star Chris Brown which reportedly led to him deleting his page.

Rather than apologize, Johnson tried to put things into perspective nearly a week after the Twitter exchange.

"This is not an apology. I just want to clear some things up. My first thought following my Twitter exchange with Chris Brown on Sunday was to ignore it until it went away. The exchange I'm referencing would be the one where he tweeted he looked old for 23, and I replied with a not-so-kind comment. From there we discussed farts, spelling, past events, bushpigs, and which part of my eye he wanted to go number two on. It ended with him deactivating his Twitter account. ... I won't say I regret what I did, but I will say I have learned from it. I chose to turn a lazy Sunday watching football with my husband into a total sh*tstorm. I never thought I'd see the chicks on The View attempt to break down our interaction on Twitter (if they only knew how little thought and effort go into anything I tweet, there is literally nothing to break down). I didn't think I would be invited to be a guest on their show or any other TV or radio program." (Statement)

She also reminded people interested in the dispute her comments were meant to be nothing more than humorous.

"That said, my Twitter account is meant to be funny. While there are truths behind a lot of the things I write, in no way, shape or form are they meant to be seen as anything other than the words of a comedy writer, in 140 characters or less. I started it on Sunday and it was certainly not my finest hour, but here we are. By next week Miley Cyrus will marry a shoe, Justin Bieber will meet the Pope wearing a wetsuit, Kim Kardashian will announce she's pregnant with a sea turtle, and everyone will move on. Even though I promised myself I would remain quiet on this subject, I just felt the need to clear the air on these certain topics. Don't worry Team Breezy, your hero is still on Instagram under the handle F*ckYoPictures. #Classy" (GQ)

Reports of the messy Twitter feud and Breezy's decision to pull the plug on his page surfaced earlier this week.

"I look old as (expletive)! I'm only 23...," Brown wrote. Johnson, who has more than 308,000 followers, replied: "I know! Being a worthless piece of (expletive) can really age a person." Her comment was retweeted more than 3,400 times. That set off Brown, who's gained a reputation as a hothead after beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and pleading guilty in a felony assault case. The pair has apparently patched up their relationship, and reportedly spent Thanksgiving together, although Brown continues to be plagued by the domestic violence rap. His latest Twitter feud with Johnson may only add more fuel to the fire. In response, Brown tweeted that she was engaging in oral sex with him, and later wrote, "Thanks HO!" when she corrected him about a misspelling. (New York Daily News)

Prior to deleting his Twiter, Brown spoke on applying more responsibility into what he says online.

"I haven't been as mature and thought out in the past, so, me growing now, it's showing my progression," Brown said in an interview. "I used to use my Twitter account to vent, but now I mostly use it for marketing and promotions. Even if the media asks me something, if it's cool then it's, 'What's up?' But if it's anything that's too negative, I don't care to respond." (XXL Magazine)
