Days after movie director Quentin Tarantino's controversial Django Unchained flick premiered nationwide, former "Chappelle's Show" star Donnell Rawlings has stepped up to speak out against acclaimed moviemaker Spike Lee's issues with it.

Addressing Spike's problems with the flick's content and usage of the N-word, Rawlings showed no mercy on the respected director.

Rawlings was out in L.A. last night when he came to Quentin Tarantino's defense -- blasting Spike Lee for his criticism of Quentin's usage of the n-word in the film (110 times to be exact) ... which Spike called disrespectful to his ancestors. Donnell said, "Spike Lee, I know you been talking a lot of sh*t. You don't like nobody's movies. You don't like Tyler Perry movies. You don't like Quentin movies. I don't even think you like YOUR movies." Donnell added, "If you don't understand, Quentin's movie is a Quentin movie. It's not a real story ... It's only a d*mn movie." (TMZ)

Lee took to Twitter last weekend to publicly announce his boycott of Django.

"American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves.Stolen From Africa.I Will Honor Them.," he tweeted December 28th. (Spike Lee's Twitter)

He later elaborated on his issues, calling the Jamie Foxx-starring movie disrespectful.

"I can't speak on it cause I'm not gonna see it," Lee said in an interview. "All I'm going to say is that it's disrespectful to my ancestors. That's just me...I'm not speaking on behalf of anybody else." (VIBE TV)

No stranger to Tarantino's movie stash, Lee previously went at his 1997 flim Jackie Brown.

This isn't the first time Lee has taken issue with Tarantino's films, particularly when it comes to the use of a racial epithet that is used myriad times in Django and appeared frequently in Tarantino's 1997 film Jackie Brown. (Rolling Stone)
