Taylor Gang leader Wiz Khalifa recently discussed preparing for fatherhood with fiancée Amber Rose and how they coped with a miscarriage prior to her current pregnancy.
According to Khalifa, they kept quiet on the second pregnancy in light of the first loss.
The Black And Yellow rapper told DJ QDeezy on Philadelphia radio station Hot 107.9 that is why they waited until she was in her second trimester at the September MTV Video Music Awards. 'Her first pregnancy was like right before and it was unexpected,' the rapper said. 'Right when we found out she was pregnant she lost the baby, and she got pregnant again like right around the time we found out she lost the baby. 'So that second time when she got pregnant, we didn't want to say anything about it until after her second trimester and everything.' The 25-year-old hit maker says he is excited to become a father for the first time. 'I can't wait, every time we go to the doctor, he tells us how healthy the baby is, how perfect her pregnancy has been, and it has just inspired me to be the best dad.' (Daily Mail)
Earlier this year, Jay-Z rapped about his wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter having a miscarriage prior to giving birth to their daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
Rapper Jay-Z released a new song Monday celebrating the birth of his baby daughter with Beyonce and revealing that the couple had struggled for years to have a child. Called "Glory," the song released on Jay-Z's social website, LifeandTimes.com, followed the birth in New York on Saturday of daughter Blue Ivy Carter -- the first child of the music power couple. "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you disappeared," Jay-Z, 42, rapped midway through the song. He also spoke of "false alarms and false starts ... all the pain of the last time, prayed so hard it was the last time." (Reuters)
Back in 2010, music mogul Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannan also revealed experiencing a similar fate.
"Unfortunately, that was the time where [the doctor] said, 'I'm sorry, but the pregnancy is not successful,' " Cannon recalled. "It was emotional for both of us and that's when I saw the strength. She handled it so well and then to get on the plane and have to spend Christmas with friends and family, it definitely brought us closer together. It strengthened our relationship so much ... she handled it so well." (MTV)
With a baby and marriage on the way, Amber and Wiz recently talked about their love for one another.
"He's so special," Amber says of her man. "These b*tches shouldn't even be around him. They're not cool enough to be in his presence. It's like, ew, stay away." And stay away he does. "I don't look at no girls. All I look at is my fiancée," says Wiz. "I don't got no reason to look at other girls. It's weird to some people, but to us it's the right thing. It's how much we love each other." Just how much does Wiz love Amber? He doesn't even peep cell phone pictures of groupies. "Groupies? I don't do that," he says with disdain. "My girl said to me, 'Baby, these b*tches don't even deserve to breathe your air.' And I was like, 'You know what? You right.'" Call it another sort of balancing act. (Complex)
