Memphis rapper Yo Gotti has offered some words toward Gucci Mane after catching heat for dropping a mixtape on the same day as the Atlanta hip-hop artist's Trap God.

Gotti said he is upset by Gucci's reaction to him dropping CM7: The World is Yours.

"He never reached out to me. I still ain't thinking nothing about it because he supposed to be my homeboy. You get what I'm saying? And then last minute we in the lab, we heard about the tweet. When we heard about the tweet I immediately hit his phone like, 'What's up homie? You good?' And we chopped it up. And long story short, from that point I realized that homie had an issue for whatever reason it was." (K97.1)

He also spoke on why Gucci would take things even further by putting out a diss track.

"I'm more disappointed than anything. You mentioned a diss record, I heard about the record last night. I ain't heard it yet, but I heard about the record last night -- nobody understand why he doing it. To me, at the end of the day I'm more disappointed in him than anything because I looked at him different. What I perceived of him is not what he playing now -- I thought you was a straight up, stand-up guy. Street type dude and street dudes don't handle business like that." (K97.1)

Gucci has since spoken out and defended his issues with Gotti.

"My main problem with him is that he dropped his mixtape on 10/17 and tried to ride my wave like he's an artist of mine or we get some kinda money together," Gucci said. "Why would you drop it if you ain't on 1017 and when I call you as my partner to ask you why you did it, you say, 'Oh, I didn't know you were droppin' a mixtape'? ... It just made me lose all respect for him instantly." (Hot 107.9)

Last month, fellow Atlanta rapper Yung Joc questioned his publicized campaign against various hip-hop artists.

"We ain't got to throw hints, the homie Gucci, sounded like he dissed me, which he did, but guess what? Listen to the name of the song, 'F the World,'" Joc said in an interview. "That's what he on right now. You see he going in at everybody neck but whatever. One thing you got to give Gucci credit for, man, the guy is a master at getting his name in your mouth. ... He's learned how to do it, he's done it several times -- you gotta salute that, whether you like it or not. I ain't tripping 'cause I know my financial status and situation. So it is what it is but I mean, you gotta love it." ("The Loud Pack Show")
