Friday, Nov 9, 2012 12:00PM
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne got to play the role of interviewer recently, revealing getting the opportunity to sit down and chop it up with NFL superstar Randy Moss.
While details are still coming in, Wayne said fans can check out his one-on-one with the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver this weekend.
"Yo! I recently got to do 1 of the koolest things ever & that's interview The Great Randy Moss! have to watch @ESPNNFL #SundayNFLCountdown," Wayne tweeted Friday (November 9). (Lil Wayne's Twitter)
This week, Moss spoke on getting a chance to talk with the platinum-selling rap star.
The interview, which features the hip hop artist asking the 49ers wideout about his remarkable playing career and many other topics, airs this Sunday morning at 7 a.m. PT on ESPN's Sunday Countdown Show. On Wednesday, Moss discussed his appreciation for Wayne's involvement with ESPN and the opportunity to visit with one of the most famous musicians in the world today. "I think a lot of people listen to Lil Wayne's music over the years and for him to be able to take the music industry and mix it with professional sports, I thought it was something both sides wanted to see," Moss said. "The music world wanted to see it; the sports world wanted to see it." (49ers Blog)
Last year, Wayne revealed his favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers.
"Since this is the first show, I'll let you know from this show on, you will be able to post questions to our Facebook page or to our site or whatever," Weezy added. "You'll be able to post questions up. I'll get to those questions in some kind of way -- I have my teams. I'm not sure if you can tell, but I'm a Green Bay Packers fan, I'm an LA Lakers fan, I'm a Boston Red Sox fan, I'm a Washington Capitals fan." ("Weezy's Sports Corner")
The rapper also dropped a "Green & Yellow" Green Bay Packers anthem back in 2011.
Lil Wayne is clearly a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers football team. So much so, that he's taken "Black and Yellow" -- the Wiz Khalifa-helmed anthem for the Pittsburgh Steelers -- and remixed it to a Packers-inspired track titled "Green and Yellow." Perfect timing for Sunday's Super Bowl Game, where the two teams will face off for the NFL championship. (Billboard)
