Comedian Katt Williams is once again the target of bad press this week as new reports claim he led police on a chase through Sacramento, California over the weekend driving a three-wheeled motorcycle.
Details of what exactly went down on Sunday (November 25) have sprouted online.
According to law enforcement sources, cops observed Williams driving his motor tricycle on the sidewalk -- and when they attempted to pull him over, Williams took off. We're told the chase continued for several minutes -- with Williams driving all over the place, even on the wrong side of the road. At one point, we're told Williams took his helmet off and yelled back at the cops, saying, "I'm not going to stop!" According to sources, police called off the chase for public safety reasons -- and now plan to ask the D.A. to charge Williams with felony evasion. (TMZ)
This comes days after Katt got sued over an Oakland concert meltdown.
Angry fans demanded refunds after comedian Katt Williams' show Friday night at Oracle Arena disintegrated into chaos, with Williams delivering rambling monologues devoid of jokes and being dragged off by his own security after he challenged a heckler to fight. After Friday night's show, angry comments from fans poured in on Facebook and Twitter, with some complaining that Williams' show had ended after 10 minutes. Many said they expected a refund; ticket prices ranged from $33 to $94, plus service fees. (Mercury News)
A night before his show, the troubled comedian ran into some legal issues with local police.
Comedian Katt Williams, in town for a Friday appearance at the Oracle Arena, was being questioned by police in connection with an assault in downtown Oakland, according to police. Another man was hit in the head with a bottle during the scuffle and taken to a hospital after the incident, which happened about 8 p.m. near the Courtyard Marriott in the 900 block of Broadway. Williams, a comedian, actor and rapper, is known for his role as Money Mike in "Friday After Next." (Marin Independent Journal)
In addition to this lawsuit, he also recently got sued by a former assistant.
It's only been a week since a former assistant of Williams filed a lawsuit against him, alleging the comedian caused "permanent injuries" sustained from a closed-fist punch. Add that to a few incidences of confronting hecklers in his audience -- one of which ended in a shoving match -- and a few arrests for "felony intimidation of a witness" and carrying a concealed weapon, and you have one hi-larious jokester ... or just another Wednesday night in Oakland.
