Former G-Unit member Young Buck is reportedly asking for his current 18-month prison sentence to get tossed out by a federal court in relation to a gun conviction.
According to reports, Buck wants justice in his felony crime case.
Nashville rapper Young Buck wants a federal court to toss out his prison sentence. The rapper, whose real name is David Brown, is currently in a Mississippi prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. However, he claims the 18-month prison term handed to him is a "complete miscarriage of justice." Brown claims he couldn't have been a felon in possession of a firearm, since a previous felony conviction was expunged from his record. Brown was also involved in a bankruptcy case that led to the IRS auction of thousands of dollars' worth of his belongings earlier this year. (News Channel 5)
Last month, Buck Marley updated fans on his condition inside of prison.
"Man, sh*t man, let eveybody know that I'm good. I'm 100. I'm well taken care of. I'm straight, under the circumstances I'm in. This is prison, you know what I'm saying? At the end of the day, I'm making the best out of prison. I don't even like to call it prison. I call it Chain Gang College now. I'm handling it, I'm handling lt like a real man gotta handle it. There ain't no other way once you're back here. Either you do the time or let the time do you. I choose to do my time, you know what I'm saying? I stay out the way, I got a couple good brothers I do roll with, they my partners. Other than that, sh*t, I'm doing time. You feel me?" (Back On My Buck Sh*t)
G-Unit leader 50 Cent recently reacted to learning the news of Buck's predicament.
"I think it's unfortunate. I don't wish that on nobody, having to sit in the joint. But I don't know how to respond in a nice way to blatant disrespect that was offered. I'm the kind of person that I don't let go of things easy, I'll be honest with you. If I'm the driving force behind why the situation is what it is, I'll accept it. But when I can't see what I've done to offer it, then I think that that was just a plan that didn't go right. If it went the way they wanted it to, there would still be no white flag. That goes across the board...even with my personal relationships with women. It's always people looking for what they want out of it." (XXL Mag)
Buck officially turned himself into a Mississippi jail in early August.
