News: Kanye West Deletes All His Tweets Except One
Thursday, Oct 4, 2012 6:40PM
Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is giving his 8.6 million Twitter followers a reason to scratch their heads after deleting every tweet he has ever posted dating back to summer 2010.
Although he has yet to explain why, Ye now only has one tweet posted on his Twitter page.
Kanye West, who has used Twitter for voicing his opinions through epic rants in the past, has deleted all of his tweets. However, he did leave one tweet that says, "Be back soon." It's also interesting to note that he is only following his girlfriend Kim Kardashian. Whether this move is part of his campaign to silence himself from the media or just something else entirely, his eight million-plus followers will just have to wait until he returns. (Complex)
Although not as massive as today's deletion, Ye is known for removing previously posted tweets.
You might remember we pointed out a couple of weeks ago that Yeezy hadn't touched his Twitter account since March. That picture of Wiz Khalifa justifying his love on stage though, was too much temptation for Kanye not to say something reckless... so he did. Don't front like that wasn't your firs thought too! The tweet appeared on Yeezy's time line early this morning, when Kanye - forgetting that his European fans were already up - thought no one would catch it. Of course, that tweet has since disappeared... Doesn't make it any less funny. (Bossip)
Back in late July 2010, Mr. West officially joined the Twitter universe.
Kanye West's tour of Silicon Valley continued. After meeting with Facebook on Tuesday, the newest celebrity to join Twitter stopped by the micro-blogging service's headquarters for a visit that included him rapping new material from his as-yet-untitled album. "I admit my first watch was a Fossil, now I'm in the Louvre looking for fossils." "Lyrically can't none of ya'll murder 'Ye 'cause y'all raps ain't got no vertebrae/ And we all know the beats is like a mix between Fergie and Jesus." (Rap-Up)
Earlier this year, G.O.O.D. Music affiliate spoke on Ye refusing to do media and press.
"That's my dog and he doesn't do press -- he didn't wanna do it period -- and they kind of forced his hand," 2 Chainz told MTV News of West's "106 and Park" appearance, from the set of MTV's "Hip Hop Squares. "I was like, 'You don't have to say nothing, bro,' because at the end of the day I knew he was up there supporting me, period." "I do a lot of things behind the scenes that people don't know [about], and they only see [what happens] on '106 and Park,' " 2 Chainz continued. "So that would've been another event where they wouldn't have known Kanye was back there, I wouldn't have name-dropped, that would've been part of my process of just working hard and grinding it out."
