[With the long-awaited NBA 2K13 finally on store shelves this week, Maybach Music Group's Rockie Fresh gives SOHH readers his thoughts on the new sports title and what expectations he has.]

I play 2K a lot and I use [Chicago Bulls'] Derrick Rose and [Oklahoma City Thunder's] Kevin Durant a lot. I use them like every day when I play the game.

I feel like NBA 2K13 should be [the greatest 2K ever]. The only knock I had about 2K is the soundtrack. To be real, I wasn't a fan of a lot of the music it played. They definitely bettered the soundtrack on this game.

Also, with the bounce passes, they would do a lot of chest passes for no reasons and they said the bounce passing got improved on this game. I feel like it's going to be crazy. I'm really looking forward to it.

I like to get it in as a very competitive player. I've been running with OKC for the past three years. I've been focused on them so that way I can handle myself in these little tournaments I get into.

I love to do an in-house tournament. Due to me being on tour, a lot of times the hotel's sometimes trip up with the online stuff so I like to keep it face-to-face. I talk a lot of smack when I play NBA 2K.

I like to have someone next to me and we can really get into it.

From the same stomping grounds as greats like Kanye West and Common, and of the same generation as up and comers like Kid Cudi and Drake, this young artist knows he has a lot to prove to the music world and there is no doubt that he has the talent to do so. Speaking of his motivations as an artist, Rockie notes that he not only wants to share his music with the world, but also wants to "encourage people to [to be] comfortable with the way they are." Rapping about everyday life, Rockie gives us something to relate to, a rare gem in the music world of glitz, glamour, and spectacle.
