Young Money's Drake is continuing to celebrate recently graduating high school by giving an acceptance speech in Toronto heading into the weekend.
Drizzy appeared at the city's Jarvais Collegiate Institute and dropped gems on fellow graduates.
"I reached a point in my life where I realized there aren't material things that can give me the excitement that I'm looking for," he told his cheering peers. "There's a void in my life that I need to fill and I need to sit and think long and hard what that was. It was the fact that I had left a gaping hole in my story of following through." He concluded the speech by dedicating his new diploma to his mother, "because she's a retired teacher and always wanted me to graduate," he said. "I think I'll sleep a little better tonight knowing that I found a way to follow through." (Rolling Stone)
Last weekend, Drake rolled out to Washington, D.C. and celebrated his accomplishment.
The liquor was flowing as Drake celebrated his 26th birthday and graduation from high school at a party presented by Hennessy V.S in Washington, D.C. during Howard University Homecoming Weekend. He later retired to the VIP section where he and his OVO crew popped bottles of Hennessy V.S. Earlier in the evening, Drizzy turned it up with 2 Chainz at Howard Homecoming's Yardfest, performing "No Lie" and speaking to the students. "I graduated high school, so you see what my campaign is about this year," he said while wearing a red Howard sweatshirt. "I went right to the bookstore, I'm tryna come to school with ya'll. I know I'm the lightest light-skinned ni**a of all time, but I hope that I..." (Rap-Up)
