News: Bow Wow Barks Back At Cash, Money Woes Reports
Monday, Oct 8, 2012 2:30PM
Cash Money Records rapper Bow Wow recently addressed making headlines as of late and denied having any substantial problems with his baby's mother or bank account.
Asked if he is going through money complications, Bow Weezy simply downplayed the current rumors.
"Hell no! Sometimes, it's worth doing it so that you can have that freedom. Ain't nobody wanting to be dealing with a woman who keeps blowing you up. I'm happy about it and now she can live her life peacefully. She can do whatever she wants to do and date whomever she wants to date and for me, I'm just going to continue on with my career and living life. I'm happy as can be. For the record, I have no issues with my [baby mama], like not one. I just want to let all them young fellas out there know that there's nothing wrong with having a kid but just make sure you have it with the right one. But I love mine and I love my situation but if you don't want no headache and no issues definitely wrap that thing up." (Necole Bitchie)
Reports of his alleged cash issues flooded the Internet over the weekend.
We just found some documents that show creditors have been chasing him for 3 years over a car. B.W. leased a 2005 Ferrari F430 back in 2008. It didn't take long for the rapper to fall behind, because in February, 2009, the leasing company sued him and got a judgment for $216,084 ... oh, and 75 cents. Since getting the judgment, the leasing company has been on the hunt for payment, using a collection agent to track down Bow Wow. Mr. Wow never paid, and now with interest the judgment has swelled to $283,785 ... oh, and 13 cents. Bow Wow told the custody judge he only had $1,500 in his bank account and leases a jeep. Wow, maybe Bow was telling the truth. (TMZ)
Last week, reports claimed he only made $4,000 monthly as a Cash Money employee.
Bow Wow has been ordered to pay child support for his 1-year-old daughter, but we've learned he withheld critical financial information from the judge. Bow Wow and baby mama Joie Chavis were in court Monday, fighting over exactly how much Bow Wow is worth and how much he has to pay. After some haggling, Bow Wow voluntarily agreed to shell out $3,000 a month in support for baby Shai. Bow Wow told the judge ... he makes $4,000 a month working as an employee at Cash Money Records, and that's it. He testified he leases a Jeep and has a grand total of $1,500 in his checking account. So here's the question -- if he makes $4,000 a month before taxes, how can he afford to pay $3,000 a month in child support? (TMZ)
A few days prior, the rap veteran landed a gig as BET's "106 & Park" co-host.
After Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz's emotional departure from BET's 106 & Park, the music countdown show has named rapper/actor Bow Wow the new host alongside Ms. Mykie from Houston, Texas; Paigion and Shorty Da Prince, from Detroit, Michigan. Contestants went through weeks of "The Search" from online video submissions to on-air screen tests. Ms. Mykie, Paigion and Shorty beat out thousands of hopefuls to land the prestigious spots, which has been filled in the past by the likes of AJ Calloway, Free and Big Tigger. (VIBE Vixen)
