G.O.O.D. Music's CyHi The Prynce recently discussed the friendly competition amongst Kanye West's star-studded team and how aware Yeezy is of their talent.
In CyHi's perspective, Mr. West is always up on which G.O.O.D. Music artists are putting in work.
"We don't see the competition but 'Ye do. Like, 'Ye enjoys it--he enjoys to hear a verse. He'll come like, 'Okay 2 Chainz next, let's hear 2 Chainz--Ohhh! 2 Chainz killed it. Okay, let's hear--Big Sean just killed it! Common just killed it! Ahhhh!' He'll be in his own little world, he likes to see the n*ggas he got around him like, 'Yo I got some dope n*ggas.' 'Cause he does so much now--so much fashion and art and stuff like that--he likes to see us do our thing too. 'Ye is not a hater--at all." (XXL Mag)
He also detailed how intense Yeezy is when it comes down to song-writing.
"[He motivates us to go even harder]. Then he'll call you and be like, 'Ol' boy just sent this [crazy] verse,' so we'll write verses over. We write three or four verses a song. That's how we do to perfect that sh*t. ... I like rapping so it's nothing to me. Like, the verses that the people are hearing--they don't know that I'm capable of being in a cipher with your favorite rapper ever. He might end up stopping before me, People don't [understand] that I really got bars. 'Ye might have to tell me to cut my verse short, 'cause I have bars. I grew up doing that and I like it. So, it's cool. I can write a thousand verses." (XXL Mag)
Back in February, CyHi The Prynce emphasized the strength behind Team Yeezy.
"To me YMCMB is mid and Rocafella/GoodMusic is kush you sell more pounds of mid but which one would you rather smoke #imjustsayin," he tweeted Friday (February 24). (CyHi The Prynce's Twitter)
Last July, G.O.O.D. Music's Kid Cudi expressed his love for the elite team.
"It's the only time where I feel like I'm around people that understand me. I felt like an orphan before then. It's good for me, man. I don't really click well with people. I don't know what it is, but everybody in this family, I click with. From 2 Chainz to Big Sean to Q-Tip. I've been seeing Q-Tip since I've started in this business and he's always had my back. You can look online and check. I'm just really happy that everybody embraced me and they don't think I'm too much of a nut job. When you work with your family, it's love behind every record and you want everybody to win. I love hearing Pusha rap. I love hearing his raps, man. It will never get old. I've told him that. And that's the exciting thing. I'm around people that I'm a fan of, that I grew up on and shit, and I can watch them create and do what they do and I can contribute and be a part of history. It's wild." (Complex)
