Grammy-winning singer Usher Raymond's ex-wife Tameka Foster speaks out on his alleged affair prior to their short-lived marriage together in a three-part interview airing this evening on Entertainment Tonight.
According to reports, Tameka comes clean on suspecting Usher of foul-play during their time together.
Did Usher really cheat on his ex-wife with one of her bridesmaids before their wedding? The music star's ex, Tameka Raymond, sits down with our Nancy O'Dell for a candid, revealing interview. "He admitted to sleeping with one of the two. It was a very disappointing revelation. I had suspected it for some time," she says, adding surprisingly, "I hate to say it, but I somewhat empathize with her. ... She fell into somewhat of a trap." Watch ET for the first of this three-part interview with Tameka on Tuesday, September 25, in which she also opens up about the courts awarding Usher primary custody of their kids following a bitter battle; she responds to accusations that she is a gold digger; and she talks about the heartbreaking recent loss of her son in a jet skiing accident. Recently, the award-winning male singer talked to renowned television mogul Oprah Winfrey about the suspected affair.
"Towards the end of our marriage, I found myself lost and I just wanted out. I was faithful at heart, but not faithful all the way. Even having conversation with another woman about matters of your relationship is not being faithful," Usher revealed. "I did have exchanges with [the bridesmaid]. We were friends. She was someone who was a part of the children's lives before and it had always been perceived that we were in a relationship or either had some exchange. It was after the marriage." Toward late August, Usher won a nasty child custody battle against Foster.
Usher has been awarded primary custody and joint legal custody of his two sons with Tameka Foster Raymond, bringing to an end a bitter custody battle that has raged since the couple separated in 2008. The new custody arrangement for Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, 3, will begin Sept. 1, a court clerk said Friday in Atlanta. (Los Angeles Times)
Foster reportedly took aim at Usher's work demands and inability to properly care for their two sons in hopes of attaining custody.
Foster, who was fighting to retain joint custody and have her monthly support payments increased, had claimed that R&B singer was too busy traveling to care for the children. Usher's lawyers said earlier this month that Foster was "incapable of being a proper parent" to the boys, adding that she "does not have the emotional stability to or capacity to bond with them, and therefore she is handicapped."
