Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross has reason so smile a bit brighter these days after announcing his new God Forgives, I Don't album has officially hit gold status this week.

Ricky Rozay broke the album-selling success news Wednesday (September 12) evening.

"#thanku Everyone who supported "God forgives I Don't" Now Certified Gold!!!!!!!Salute the Entire @DefJamRecords Staff Y'all No.1 !! #GFID," Ross tweeted.

Following the news, handfuls of fellow hip-hop artists congratulated Ross like Miami's DJ Khaled.

"Congrats to my brother @rickyrozay the whole Def Jam/MMG family. GOD FORGIVES, I DON'T officially GOLD!!!," he tweeted.

To date, the Boss' latest solo offering has sold nearly 390,000 copies.
