Saturday, Sep 8, 2012 8:12AM
Nearly a week after rumors of tensions between reality star Kim Kardashian and Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé Knowles-Carter sprouted online, new reports claim they are on good terms.
According to new reports, they have a close relationship and never got into any heated problems.
Kim Kardashian and Beyonce don't hate each other's guts -- despite reports -- in fact, they're BFFs. There was lots of speculation this week following a story in which Bey allegedly confronted Kim at Jay-Z's recent Made in America event in Philadelphia -- asking Kim to stop posing for the cameras because she was stealing Jay-Z's spotlight. Director Ron Howard was at the event too -- and according to reports, Kim approached Ron to cast her in one of his films ... another detail that allegedly pissed off Beyonce. But sources close to Beyonce's camp tell us, there was no confrontation whatsoever -- in fact, when Kanye performed with Jay-Z at the event ... we're told Beyonce and Kim watched their men together backstage, laughing and hugging the whole time. As one source put it, "They love each other -- they talk fashion, family, Beyonce's baby all the time." As for the Ron Howard thing -- we're told Kim never uttered a word to him the entire day. (TMZ)
Earlier in the week, reports had Bey and Kim K beefing at last weekend's Made In America Philadelphia music festival.
Despite Kim Kardashian's repeated attempts to befriend Bey, a source tells Confidenti@l that the 16-time Grammy winner gave Kardashian a serious reality check on Saturday night. A source at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia, where both Beyonce and Kardashian were supporting their musical men, tells us, "Kim and Beyonce barely spoke to each other." Adding, "They were on opposite sides of the stage. Beyonce didn't even acknowledge [Kardashian] was there until the concert was almost over." The situation was made extra awkward since Kanye West, Kardashian's fling of nearly five months, and Jay-Z are best pals. West was even a surprise performer during Hova's set that night. But we hear it wasn't just Beyonce giving the cold shoulder this time around. "(Kardashian) didn't make any efforts to go speak to Beyonce either," the source says. Instead, she spent her time hanging out with best friend Jonathan Cheban and West, when he wasn't performing. Eventually, the women "made small talk in the dressing room, but you could tell Kim was uncomfortable. She clung onto Kanye the entire time and didn't say much," according to a second source. Additional reporting suggested R&B singer Rita Ora's relationship with Kardashian's brother Rob may have contributed to the alleged feud.
Another rumor accuses Bey of being upset with Kim for tweeting that her brother, "needs a good woman." An alleged diss towards Rita Ora. Either way, Rita is not much of an upgrade Beyonce. Where are B's real friends? (All Hip Hop Rumors)
Back in April, Kim's rap star boyfriend Kanye West denied claims which suggested he likened her to Bey.
"...of course there are a lot of media inaccuracies surrounding this past couple of weeks, especially the 'She's my Beyonce' quote. I would never compare anyone to my friend's wife," West tells Us Weekly exclusively. "Come on now, that doesn't even sound like me," says West, who is a longtime pal and collaborator of Beyonce's husband Jay-Z. "If I don't say something in a rap or on Twitter, it's not true," the "Otis" rapper tells Us. (Us Magazine)
