New York rapper Azealia Banks has taken her Twitter feud toward Jim Jones and turned it into a new diss record called "Succubi" which goes directly at the fellow Harlem emcee's head.
On her anthem, Banks profoundly flaunts her swag and taunts Jones' flashy ways.
It's getting hot in Harlem. Azealia Banks dedicates an entire diss to fellow Harlem rapper Jim Jones. Following their Twitter beef over the origins of the word "vamp," the always controversial Banks spits fiery bars aimed at the Diplomat, who she dubs a "local fu**er." "This ni**a's a girl, you want diamonds and pearls, designer clothes, attention, and stares/ You're a man though, why would you care," she raps over the araabMUZIK-produced beat. "It takes a Harlem b*tch to execute a Harlem b*tch/ You pop sh*t, I pop sh*t, no problem b*tch." (Rap-Up)
She has also jumped online to defend putting out the new diss track.
"Now now... Don't start making street threats... It's not 1997, violence in hip-hop is played out! ... Just rap! Let's go! Let's compete !!," she tweeted August 12th.
"I'm really excited about the new material I've been working on this week!!!!!! I feel like the harder I work, the better I get!"
"Idgi !!! seriously... men are allowed to spar when attacked but i can't?!?!?! WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF ?!!?!" (Azealia Banks' Twitter)
Last week, the two Harlem artists went at one another online.
On Monday (August 6) the two Harlem rappers went at it once Azealia tried to claim that she used the word "vamp" prior to Jimmy's Vampire Life movement and mixtape. Azealia first tweeted "VAMP: a very sexually/financially powerful woman who is usually characterized by a penchant for dark things; nighttime, witchcraft, .. Etc.", possibly referring to a title of a new track she's working on? The tweet then caused a fan to jump in making Banks aware that "vampin" is Jim Jones' thing. After reading the tweets, Jim innocently jumped in responding "@Rahim_TheDream @AZEALIABANKS tht vamplife is contagious." However, not one to take things lightly, the "212" rapper fired back writing, "@jimjonescapo yea I know! I wrote 212 in 2011 before ur song tho. That vamp sh-- is some fashion stuff as well. In case u didn't know." A still-calm Jones responded, "@AZEALIABANKS u better check th credits boo we ain't just start vampin we are vampin u r welcome to join it's a lifestyle #vampirelife". A few days ago, Banks discussed making a name for herself over Twitter feuds.
"Of course, because it's e-thugging... Who wants to look like that? But how else am I gonna reach y'all? I don't have a T.I. to get on a radio show and defend me; I'm the one behind me. Y'all expect me to agree like, "Oh yea, I'm wack. I only have one song." That's one song y'all n*ggas don't f*cking have. You might win some, but you just lost one." (VIBE)
